Terms of Sale and Use
These terms cover buying from Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC and using this website. We have written them as plainly as we can so you know where you stand before you order. Using this website means you agree to them, so please read through them.
Buying Firearms: What You Should Know First
All firearms, magazines, receivers, and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Many of the firearms, magazines, and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering. We would much rather you know before you buy than after.
What comes in the box
All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box with magazines, accessories, and applicable warranty.
Firearm sales are final
Firearms sales are final. A firearm that requires warranty work must be returned to the factory within 1 year of purchase for repair.
Accessories and special order items that our store does not normally sell are not covered under warranty, even when those products are part of an integrated firearms package, unless we have guaranteed the entire package to you in writing. For warranty information on accessories and special order items, please contact the original manufacturer.
Purchasing Firearms Online
It is illegal to ship firearms to anyone who does not hold an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). For that reason, a firearm purchased online may be picked up at our store or shipped to an FFL (a gun store) near you.
We may contact and verify the FFL you select during checkout before we ship your firearm. We encourage you to contact your receiving FFL before you buy, so you know their transfer fee and that they are ready to accept the shipment for you.
Ammunition Purchases
You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition, and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition.
All ammunition ships ground with an adult signature required, and sales on these items are final.
Always make sure you are using the correct ammunition for your specific firearm. Check your local laws for any other regulations that apply to you. Customers are responsible for following all local, state, and federal laws, so please research before ordering if you are unsure what applies in your area.
Changing or Modifying an Order
We want to serve you as well as we can, and we understand that mistakes happen. If you have already placed an order and want to change it, here is how that works.
The order that needs to be modified will be canceled, and you will be refunded the full amount minus a $10 charge, issued as a gift card. Once you receive that refund, you can place the corrected order on the website.
Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC will not place the order for you. This is because of the sensitive information exchanged during a transaction and the fraud risk that comes with it. Please note that once a new order is placed, the transaction lead times start over.
Returns and Canceled Orders
All sales are final. That includes firearms, ammunition, and optics.
All canceled and returned orders are charged a 15% restocking fee.
If your order requires documents from you and we have not received them within 21 days, the order will be canceled and your funds returned minus the 15% restocking fee. If you are waiting on paperwork, reach out to us and we will tell you exactly what we still need.
Affidavit of Customer
When you place an order with us, you are confirming each of the following statements about yourself. Federal law requires it, and your order depends on all of it being true.
- I am not an unlawful user of, or addicted to, any controlled substance.
- By selling or delivering ammunition to me, Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC is not violating any state or local law or ordinance.
- I have never been, and I am not expected to be, convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
- I am not under indictment for, and have never been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for over one year.
- I am not a fugitive from justice.
- I am currently not subject to a restraining order of any kind.
- I have not been adjudicated as a mental defective, and I have not been committed to any mental institution.
- I am not an illegal or unlawful alien.
- I have never been, and I am not expected to be, discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions.
- I am not currently less than twenty one (21) years old.
- I have not renounced my U.S. citizenship.
Indemnification and Agreement to Defend
I fully agree that if any of my representations when making purchases under these Terms of Sale are incorrect, or if I fail to comply with these Terms of Sale, then I will indemnify, defend, save harmless, and release Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC and its owners, agents, officers, and employees against any civil liability or criminal prosecution resulting from my purchase from Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC.
I fully agree that by placing my order I release Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC from any and all liability arising from or related to the products I purchased from Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC. This includes, but is not limited to, my use or anyone else's use of the product, my storage or anyone else's storage of the product, and my handling or transportation of the product or anyone else's handling or transportation of the product. I agree to indemnify, defend, save harmless, and release Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC and its owners, agents, officers, and employees against any civil liability or criminal prosecution resulting from the products I purchased from Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC.
Class Action Waiver
You expressly agree that any dispute resolution proceedings, including but not limited to litigation, arbitration, and mediation, will be conducted only on an individual basis, and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. By making this express agreement, you acknowledge and affirm that this is a knowing, voluntary, and permanent waiver of any right to bring federal, state, or local claims as any part of, or on behalf of, any class or any other individuals, before a court or other tribunal.
Free Products and Coupon Offers
From time to time we offer our customers special offers and discount codes to use on this website. These offers are often shared on this website and by email to those who have registered for our email list. They are sometimes posted on our home page or announced through other channels alongside the promotion of our product collection, including radio and TV broadcasts, internet forums, and various online websites.
We want you to use these offers. We simply ask that you not exploit them. Tin Star Shooting Range, LLC, at our sole discretion, determines whether all purchasing criteria have been met to qualify for a stated discount or free product. If the software safeguards of this website are successfully circumvented in order to receive several free products with an order, we will, at our sole discretion, remove the extra free product from the order or cancel the order in its entirety. You will be told about any change to your order using the phone number or email address listed with it. Please play fair.
